HOW DO I FIND MY AGENCY'S PDF UPLOAD WEBSITE PORTAL?:
Your agency will provide you with the proper
upload website URL at the same time you receive your
project/permit number.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN
A "DRAWING" FILE AND AN "OTHER" FILE?:
Any file containing a drawing is a
"drawing" file. Specifications, calculation sheets,
etc. (typically an 8.5x11) are "other" files.
HOW DO I NAME MY FILES FOR SUBMITTALS?:
The unique portion (usually
4 digits) of the agency provided number. Examples could
be BLD20091234 ("1234"), 09BP0010 (0010"), 0223BLD09
("0223"). Use the 4 digits for the 1st part of the file
name. i.e. 1234drawing.pdf or 0223other.pdf, etc.
NAMING LARGE PLAN SETS:
Large Commercial drawing files may
need to be broken into sections (i.e. arch, struc, elec,
civil, etc.) to keep the file and size manageable.
Larger files are more difficult to upload, view, etc.
Example file names using the proper naming convention
would be 1234arch.pdf, 1234struc.pdf, 1234elec.pdf, etc.
HOW MUCH DOES A RESUBMITTAL COST?:
Resubmitals are Free IF
resubmitted "drawing" file names are exactly the same
AND file page count is equal to or less than the
original file. "Other" file resubmittals
are free unless page count increases move you into a
different price category. i.e. 50 pages to 51
pages would cost extra.
HOW LONG BEFORE THE REVIEWER
HAS MY DRAWINGS?:
During weekdays a file will typically be available for
review 24 hrs after submittal. Incorrect file
naming may delay a submission.
